The CX321 combines many functions in one device, from an integrated 4G/LTE modemto a programmable controller (PLC) with a graphic display and programmable keys as an operating interface to a professional data logger and fault indicator. Powerful in communication thanks to numerous interfaces and protocols and almost unlimited expandable, it is the ideal device for demanding M2M and IoT applications.
The CX361 is equipped with a wireless M-Bus radio module for up to 1000m range (ISM band) and can thus easily query smart meters, but general sensor networks are also possible. High-level support in the IDE with full encryption (AES-128) enables easy and secure integration.
The CX321 has an internal M-Bus level converter for 20 M-Bus loads. This makes the CX320 a very powerful energy data logger. Thanks to the free programmability, the most varied of energy management requirements can be implemented very flexibly.
The CX321 is based on a hardened Linux architecture with IEC 61131-3 runtime environment. The Arm®Cortex®– A7 processor with floating point support, DSP functions and cryptography acceleration offers more than enough performance for your applications with edge computing. TLS / SSL support for all important TCP-based protocols (e.g. MQTT, SMTP, TCP / IP sockets) with complete certificate management effectively protects your communication, e.g. with a cloud.
With a multiband LTE Cat. 4 modem, the CX321 has a modern and future-proof mobile communications connection, because LTE will represent the area-wide backbone of mobile communications in the long term. Automatic fallback to UMTS / EDGE / GPRS ensures optimal network availability. Voice with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and DTMF as well as SMS round off the profile. Thanks to the support of a large number of frequency bands, the CX320 can be used worldwide .
In addition to cellular connectivity, the CX321 has a variety of interfaces: RS-232, RS-485, 1-Wire and USB. For easy use of the interfaces, the development environment provides support for a variety of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, MQTT, 1-Wire, M-Bus, Modbus (Master and Slave).
The CX321 has 8 digital inputs (4 of which can be configured as S0), 8 digital solid state outputs (36V / 1.5A) and 4 flexibly configurable analog inputs as well as 2 outputs. The interface equipment is completely transparently expandable via Modbus modules for the user software and can be extended almost indefinitely.
