Free programmability with IEC 61131-1 (ST), future-proof 4G/LTE cellular connectivity, numerous interfaces (RS232, RS485, 1-Wire, digital/analog I/O…) and comprehensive protocol support (including Modbus, MQTT) make the CX510 the ideal platform for demanding applications. Multi-GNSS (GPS, GLONAS and GALILEO), 3D accelerometer and CAN support mobile applications.

The CX510’s feature set is optimized for effective IoT connectivity of stationary and mobile applications. The large number of interfaces allows in especially easy retrofitting of existing applications.

Future-proof mobile connectivity

With a multiband LTE Cat. 1 modem, the CX510 has a modern and future-proof mobile communications connection, because LTE will represent the area-wide backbone of mobile communications in the long term. Automatic fallback to EDGE / GPRS ensures optimal network availability. Voice with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and DTMF as well as SMS complete the profile.

Precise positioning

The CX510 features a high sensitivity GNSS receiver with support for GPS, GLONASS, QZSSand GALILEO (99 acquisition channels / 33 tracking channels) with interference rejection and jamming protection. A 3-axis accelerometer rounds off the features.

Powerful vehicle integration

A full CAN 2.0B interface with hardware filtering and multi-speed support allows comprehensive data acquisition even in complex vehicle installations. Among others, CANopen, FMS and J1939 are supported as protocols. Additional units without CAN connection can be flexibly connected via the other interfaces of the CX510.

Sophisticated energy management

A built-in UPS (integrated LiIon battery), low power consumption and five execution speeds with wakeup events from various sources allow safe operation even on switched on-board power systems.

Performance and security for edge computing

The CX510 is based on a hardened Linux architecture with IEC 61131-3 runtime environment. The 32 bit Arm® processor with floating point support, DSP functions and cryptography acceleration provides enough performance for demanding applications with edge computing. TLS/SSL support for all major TCP based protocols (e.g. MQTT, SMTP, Sockets) with full certificate management effectively protects your communication, e.g. with a cloud.

I/O interfaces

The CX530 has 3 digital inputs, 2 digital solid state outputs (36V / 1 A) and 2 flex inputs (digital / analog). The interface equipment is completely transparent for the user software via Modbus modules and can be expanded almost without limits.

Versatile communication

In addition to the mobile radio connection, the CX530 has a variety of interfaces: CAN-2.0, RS-232, RS-485, 1-Wire and an ISM tranciever. For easy use of the interfaces, the development remotion provides support for a variety of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, MQTT,1-Wire, M-Bus, Modbus (Master and slave).
