The CX415 combines many functions in one device, from an integrated LTE Cat. 1 modem (with fallback to EDGE/GPRS) and a programmable controller (PLC) to a professional data logger and fault indicator. Powerful communication thanks to numerous interfaces (1-Wire, RS-485, RS-232, Bluetooth…) and protocols and almost unlimited expandability, it is the ideal device for demanding M2M and IoT applications in harsh environments. The CX415 can be used with 8..36 VDC. and also supplied with 100..260VAC.
With a multiband LTE Cat. 1 modem, the CX415 has a modern and future-proof mobile connection, as LTE will be the backbone of mobile communication in the long term. Automatic fallback to EDGE / GPRS ensures optimal network availability. Voice with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and DTMF as well as SMS complete the profile.
The CX415 is based on a hardened Linux architecture with IEC 61131-3 runtime environment. The Arm® Cortex®– A7 processor with floating point support, DSP functions and cryptography acceleration provides more than enough power for your edge computing applications. TLS/SSL support for all major TCP based protocols (e.g. MQTT, SMTP, Sockets) with full certificate management effectively protects your communication, e.g. with a cloud.
The CX415 has 5 digital inputs (4 of which can be configured as S0), 4 relay outputs (5A @250VAC) and 2 flexibly configurable analog inputs. The interface equipment is completely transparently expandable via Modbus modules for the user software and can be extended almost indefinitely.
The CX415 has a variety of interfaces in addition to the mobile radio connection: RS-232, RS-485, 1-Wire, Bluetooth Low Energy, IEEE 802.15.4.2011 PHY and USB. For easy use of the interfaces, the development remotion provides support for a variety of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, MQTT,1-Wire, M-Bus, Modbus (Master and slave).
A built-in UPS (integrated LiIon battery), low power consumption and five execution speeds with wakeup events from various sources allow safe operation even on switched networks.
