The C460 combines many functions in one device, from an integrated 3G/UMTS modem to a programmable logic controller (PLC) to a professional data logger and fault indicator. Strong in communication thanks to numerous interfaces and protocols and almost unlimited expandability, it is the ideal device for demanding M2M and IoT applications in harsh environments. The C460 can be supplied with 8..36 VDC. and also supplied with 100..260VAC.
The C460 features a 3G/UMTS modem with fallback to 2G/GPRS, bringing mobile communications directly into your applications. Easy to use for connection to all leading cloud platforms, as fault indicator directly with SMS or voice with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and DTMF or for communication with other M2M controllers. Thanks to the Integrated Development Environment (IDE), programming distributed applications is as easy as programming a single PLC.
The C460 is based on an RTOS real-time core with IEC 61131-3 runtime environment. The 32-bit ST Arm®processor provides more than enough power and memory for your edge-computing applications. AES encryption and a certificate management for all important TCP based protocols (e.g. MQTT, SMTP, TCP/IP Sockets) offer a high security for your communication, e.g. with a cloud.
The C460 has 5 digital inputs (4 of which can be configured as S0), 4 relay outputs (5A @250VAC), 4 flexibly configurable analog inputs and outputs each. The interface equipment is completely transparently expandable via Modbus modules for the user software and can be extended almost indefinitely.
In addition to the mobile phone connection, the C460 has a large number of interfaces: Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485, 1-Wire, USB und 868 MHz ISM RF. For easy use of the interfaces, the development environment provides support for a variety of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, MQTT, 1-Wire, M-Bus, Modbus (Master and Slave).
