Precise positioning with GPS, GLONAS, Galileo and QZSS; 3D accelerometer, full-featured CAN 2.0 connectivity, additional interfaces (digital I/O, analog input, 868 MHz ISM RF) and protocols (including Modbus, MQTT) as well as a 3G/UMTS mobile network connection make the C520 the ideal platform for demanding telematics applications in harsh and cramped environments.
A complete CAN 2.0B interface with hardware filtering and multi-speed support allows comprehensive data acquisition in vehicle installations.
The C521 has a highly sensitive GNSS receiver with support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS (99 acquisition channels / 33 tracking channels) with noise suppression and jamming protection. The support of DGPS (WASS, EGNOS, MSAS and GAGAN) further increases the positioning accuracy. A 3-axis accelerometer completes the equipment.
A built-in UPS (integrated LiIon battery), low power consumption and five execution speeds with wakeup events from various sources allow safe operation even on switched on-board power systems.
The C521 is based on an RTOS real-time core with IEC 61131-3 runtime environment. The 32-bit ST Arm®processor provides more than enough power and memory for your edge-computing applications. AES encryption and a certificate management for all important TCP based protocols (e.g. MQTT, SMTP, TCP/IP Sockets) offer a high security for your communication, e.g. with a cloud.
The C521 has a 3G/UMTS modem with fallback to 2G/EDGE/GPRS, bringing mobile communications directly into your applications. Easy to use for connection to all leading cloud platforms, as fault indicator directly with SMS or for communication with other M2M controllers. Thanks to the integrated development environment (IDE), programming distributed applications is as easy as programming a single PLC.
The C521 has 2 digital inputs, 2 digital solid state outputs (36V / 0.75A) and 1 analog input. Additional sensor technology can be adapted via 686 MHz ISM RF.
